My Thoughts
Rating:
Thoughts: I have read many places and heard from many people that this was a book I needed to read, and finally I picked it up when I saw it at our local comic shop. They were all completely right, and I really wish that I had picked this book up sooner.
Prior to reading this title, I had never read anything, that I could recall, by Matt Wagner.
When I first flipped through the book to get a feel for the artwork, I really wasn’t sure that I was going to like it. Everything was beautiful, but there was something about the way that the eyes looked that bothered me. It didn’t stop me from reading, obviously, but it did give me pause in the beginning. After reading through the first issue of the book, the eyes started to grow on me, and the art really made this book all the better for me!
